I’m not going to make it a point to address every instance of [insert news item here]. In this case I want to. I think it will be a good exercise.
Let’s talk about the SPLC.
First, let’s do a very brief recap of the situation:
The SPLC has been deified as the quintessential group on the front in the war against “hate”. They’ve been relied on by the U.S. government to identify “hate” groups. They’ve been relied on by main stream news agencies, often being cited as the authoritative source. They’ve had a very broad influence on our society.
It has recently come to light they’ve been funding hate groups to generate instances of hate so they can then use that as justification for their continued existence and funding. Imagine a doctor who intentionally makes patients sick so he/ she can then come to their rescue and “be the hero”. It’s referred to as Munchausen by proxy.
Munchausen by proxy: Munchausen syndrome by proxy n (1977); a psychological disorder in which a parent and typically a mother harms her child (as by poisoning) falsifies the child’s medical history or tampers with the child’s medical specimens in order to create a situation that requires or seem to require medical attention-called also Munchausen’s syndrome by proxy.–Merriam Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary 11th ed.
Or, it can be summed up with the “wrap-up smear”.
14 Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers. 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. 17 And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort, 18 who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

- v. 14-engaging in useless talk is highly destructive to those who hear it-on God’s authority-DON’T!
- v. 15-if one does not “rightly” divide the word of truth, they should be ashamed and are not diligent nor approved by God as a worker.
- v. 16-17-profane and idle babblings will increase to more ungodliness then spread like cancer and defile the faith of the people.
1 “You shall not circulate a false report. Do not put your hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness. 2 You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after many to pervert justice. 3 You shall not show partiality to a poor man in his dispute.

- v. 1-when it comes to circulating a false report-on God’s authority-DON’T! God will consider you an unrighteous witness.
- v. 2-because a crowd believes something, does not give you justification for spreading false witness. This is a perversion of justice.
- v. 3-the sob stories of the poor and needy do not give them an exemption to do or say anything which magically flies into their silly little heads.
15 “One witness shall not rise against a man concerning any iniquity or any sin that he commits; by the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established. 16 If a false witness rises against any man to testify against him of wrongdoing, 17 then both men in the controversy shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges who serve in those days. 18 And the judges shall make careful inquiry, and indeed, if the witness is a false witness, who has testified falsely against his brother, 19 then you shall do to him as he thought to have done to his brother; so you shall put away the evil from among you. 20 And those who remain shall hear and fear, and hereafter they shall not again commit such evil among you. 21 Your eye shall not pity: life shall be for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

The SPLC has primarily targeted conservative/ Christian/ right wing groups. Antifa, does not appear on their “hate map”. This is an obvious instance of a double standard. By their own definition Antifa should of course be included. The SPLC should be included on their own “hate map” because they’ve engaged (by funding the KKK and other “hate” groups-by their own definition) in hate activities. Of course they exempt themselves from their own standard.
Biblically speaking the SPLC should be required to pay their victims compensation for the financial harm they’ve sought to impose on those they’ve listed as “hate groups”. It should be in accord with the amount of financial harm done to the groups the SPLC have targeted. This would be true, biblical justice. Will any religious organization be willing to step-up and publicly call for this? Of course not. The SPLC should be driven out of business to the same degree they’ve sought to do this to those they’ve called “hate groups”. The SPLC should have their members and donors reputations permanently ruined as a result, to the same degree they’ve sought to ruin the lives and reputations of the groups (and their donors, etc.) they’ve classified as “hate groups”. This would be just-based on their own standard and their own definition of “justice” and based on the precedent they’ve established by how they’ve treated others. If they claim it isn’t fair, then they automatically condemn themselves. Will true justice prevail in this situation? I’m not holding my breath. When it comes to real justice, religious organizations and society at large have proven themselves to be cowards.
Romans 3:8 mentions the idea that evil should be done so that good may result. It’s then stated that those who think this way have a just condemnation waiting for them. The idea of doing evil to result in good is stupid on steroids.
Why’s this important? The fashionable thing of late is for religious organizations to issue a blanket accusation of “racist”, “Christian Nationalist”, etc. of those who will not bend the knee to the ideology du jour. This has been used as justification for alienating and dissociating from groups who had been loyal and simply living quiet lives up until it was decided by the “in crowd” they were now in the “out crowd”. There was no appeal. There was no trial. There was just a final judgment by the mob. Please refer to text above regarding false accusations (add slander, defamation, etc.) and catering to the mob at the expense of God’s will and true justice.
So be it…
The day of reckoning for the elders and ministry staff who were stupid enough to make the mistake of enabling this brain dead stupidity is now one day closer than it was yesterday. Upon becoming a shepherd, they agreed to care for the sheep. That does not involve destroying God’s house for a personal political ideology. Oopsie…
