5. Principle 11: I am…

First, and of urgent importance, I am NOT claiming any sort of deity. I am NOT equating myself to God in any way shape or form whether express or implied. In Acts 12:20-23 Herod came with great pomp to an assembly so he could listen to himself speak. There was also a crowd in attendance, who made the mistake of validating his ego, “The voice of a god and not a man.” Herod, being enamored with his own celebrity chose to accept that praise instead of correcting the people and giving praise to God. For that, an angel struck him and he spent the next two(ish) years in a very slow, excruciatingly agonizing death, if what I read about it, is in fact true. I’m not going to describe it here. That’s why I didn’t use I AM (all caps-the name of God) as the title. It’s lower case with the appropriate capitalization for I. I’m simply stating a simple truth, I’m here. You are there (wherever that is). “They” are there. Others are somewhere else. Yet, here we all are. How?

Why am I here? Why am I able to think about these principles and realize they exist? Why do I know they’re in fact real although I don’t interact with them in a literal physical sense? Why does it matter to me? Why do I care about the answers to these questions?

Where can I(we) find the answers?
